Jessop Collection
We hold a unique
collection of 10,000 transparencies taken by the Late Frank Jessop
(founder of the Jessop Photographic retail chain)
These pictures
show people and places around the world in the 1970's and 1980's, including
many from Afghanistan before the Russian Occupation and China before it became
a travel destination.
Earlier pictures are on 6cm x 6cm transparency, later pictures are 35mm transparencies.
Destinations
include: The Artic, The USA, Canada, South America, Europe, The Middle East,
The Far East
with dates from 1970 to 1989 and World Tours in 1972 & 1992
Picture quality is "good amateur" and the uniqueness of these tranny's make them highly viewable.
